Hoover Square Mansion

Hoover Square Mansion is a 17-unit student housing residence serving the USC community in Los Angeles’ historic West Adams neighborhood. Originally completed in 1899 for Maria Argüello Wilcox and designed by architect Frederick L. Roehrig, the home was built as a grand private residence and later became part of a convent campus.

The renovation transformed the historic property into student housing while thoughtfully preserving its architectural character. The grand foyer and original staircase were retained as defining elements of the home, while the enclosed patio was completely opened up and restored with its original columns.
